This payment system is provided by Douglas Lawn Tennis Club and its third party suppliers.

Douglas Lawn Tennis Club may update these terms from time to time and any changes will be effective immediately on being set out here. Please ensure you are aware of the current terms.

Terms and Conditions

Please read these terms carefully before using the online payment facility. Using the online payment facility on this website indicates that you accept these terms. If you do not accept these terms do not use this facility.

All payments are subject to the following conditions:-

Your payment will normally reach the Douglas Lawn Tennis Club account to which you are making a payment on the following working day.

We cannot accept liability for a payment not reaching the correct account due to you quoting an incorrect card number or incorrect personal details.

Neither can we accept liability if payment is refused or declined by the credit/debit card supplier for any reason.

Security

All payment details which are entered through this payment gateway are encrypted when the customer, or third party making payment, enters them. Communications to and from the service provider's site are encrypted.

Douglas Lawn Tennis Club shall not be liable for any failure by the customer or third party making payment of fees to properly protect data from being seen on their screen by other persons or otherwise obtained by such persons, during the online payment process or in respect of any omission to provide accurate information in the course of the online payment process.

All cardholder information is protected and will never be passed onto any third parties

Service Provider

Online payments of fees can be made by credit or debit card.

The transaction is received and validated by the Service Provider (Payzone). The client making the application will get an immediate notification to confirm whether or not the card validation was successful.

The funds will be transferred from your account within 48 hours.

Refund Policy

Refund of payments made will be at the discretion of Douglas Lawn Tennis Club. Disputes regarding amounts paid must be made in writing to Douglas Lawn Tennis Club.

Refunds, if applicable, will only be made to the debit/credit card used for the original transaction.

Cancellation Policy

A recurring payment can only be cancelled by agreement with Douglas Lawn Tennis Club when an alternative payment method has been agreed. To cancel a recurring payment, please contact the Douglas Lawn Tennis Club.

Privacy Policy

Personal data is data that identifies you or can be used to identify or contact you and may include, for example, your name, address, mobile number, or email address.
This personal data that you volunteer to us will be processed for the following purposes:

To facilitate payments from you.
To provide you with the information on any item you have requested from us.
To send you texts, email alerts and newsletters that you have opted-in to receive by filling in our online forms or by other means.

You have the right to request a copy of any personal data held by us about you. You also have the right to have such data corrected where it is inaccurate or misleading. You also have the right to have this data deleted.

Collection and use of Non-Personal Data
Like most websites, we gather statistical and analytical information collected on an aggregate basis of all visitors to our website. This non-personal data comprises information that cannot be used to identify or contact you.

Child Safeguarding Safety Statement 19th April 2020 Douglas Lawn Tennis Club, Douglas Lawn Tennis Club, Douglas Lawn, Well Road, Douglas Size: 450(including staff and members) Douglas Lawn Tennis Club provides tennis activities and opportunities for children and young people through participation in parks, clubs, regional, provincial events and with our representative teams. The NGB is committed to safeguarding children and young people. All our affiliated stakeholders work under the guidance and policies of our Safeguarding Code. All our volunteers and staff working with children throughout the organisation, seek to create a safe environment for children and young people to participate in Tennis. Principles to safeguard children from harm Douglas Lawn Tennis Club is committed to safeguarding children and by working under the guidance of our NGB Safeguarding Policies our staff, both volunteers and employed, working with our young people, throughout the organisation, seek to create a safe environment for young people to grow and develop within sport. The following set of principles should be adhered to:

· Importance of childhood‐ The importance of childhood should be understood and valued by everyone involved in tennis.

· Needs of the child‐ All children’s sport experiences should be guided by what is best for children. This means that adults should have basis understanding of the emotional, physical and personal needs of young people.

· Integrity in relationships‐ Adults interacting with children in tennis are in a position of trust and influence. They should always ensure that children are treated with integrity and respect, and the self‐ esteem of young people is enhanced.

· Fair Play‐ All children’s sport should be conducted in an atmosphere of fair play. The principles of fair play should always be emphasised, and organisers should give clear guidelines regarding acceptable standards of behaviour.

· Quality atmosphere and ethos‐ Children’ssportshould be conducted in a safe, positive and encouraging atmosphere.

· Competition‐ Competition is an essential element of tennis and should be encouraged in an age and level appropriate manner. A child centred ethos will help to ensure that competition and specialisation are kept in their appropriate place.

· Equality‐ All children should be valued and treated in an equitable and fair manner regardless of ability, age, gender, religion, social and ethnic, background or political persuasion. Procedures Our Child Safeguarding Statement has been developed in line with requirements under Children First Act 2015, (the First National Guidance, and Tusla’s Child Safeguarding: A Guide for Policy, Procedure and Practice and Gateway Northern Ireland). In addition to our Risk Assessment document described above, there are further procedures that support our intention to safeguard children while they are availing of our activities. Douglas Lawn Tennis Club has the following procedures in place as part of our Safeguarding Policies:

· Procedures for the management of allegations of abuse or misconduct by staff or volunteers against a child availing of our activities.

· Procedures for the safe recruitment of staff and volunteers to work with children in our activities.

· Procedures for access to child safeguarding training and information, including the identification of the occurrence of harm.

· Procedure for reporting of child protection or welfare concerns to Statutory Authorities.

· Procedure for maintaining a list of the persons(if any) in the relevant service who are mandated persons.

· Procedure for appointing a relevant person.

· Procedures for managing trips away and hosting children. Please note that all procedures listed are available on request. The Relevant Person for Douglas Lawn Tennis Club is the DLP or Chairperson. Implementation We recognise that implementation is an ongoing process. Our club is committed to implementation of this Child Safeguarding Statement and the procedures that support our intention to keep children safe from harm while availing of our activities. · This statement is available to parents/guardians, the Agency and members of the public on request.

JUNIOR CODE OF CONDUCT

1. Play fairly and have fun.

2. Behave in a manner that avoids bringing the game of tennis into disrepute.

3. Respect officials and accept their decision.

4. Respect opponents and always shake hands at the end of a match.

5. Use best efforts in competitive matches.

6. Refrain from the use of bad language and inappropriate gestures.

7. Refrain from ball/racquet abuse.

8. Never use unfair or bullying tactics to gain advantage on or off the court.

9. Never use bullying tactics to isolate another player.

10. Never pass on gossip about another player or adult.

11. Win with grace and lose with dignity.

12. Speak to the Children’s Officers if there is concern or worry.

13. Juniors under the age of 16 years must be supervised by an adult outside of coaching times whilst on club grounds and must be dropped off and more importantly collected on time from coaching.
