3.
To send you texts, email alerts and newsletters
that you have opted-in to receive by filling in our online forms or by other
means
You
have the right to request a copy of any personal data held by us about you. You
also have the right to have such data corrected where it is inaccurate or
misleading. You also have the right to have this data deleted.
Collection
and use of Non-Personal Data
Like
most websites, we gather statistical and analytical information collected on an
aggregate basis of all visitors to our website. This non-personal data
comprises information that cannot be used to identify or contact you.
Additional Terms & Conditions
Due
to the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) we
request that all Parents and Guardians Sign up to receive Email AND Text
Message Notifications from the school. We consider this an issue of child
safety. You must click on the two boxes on your Payzone Account to activate
this option. We cannot send you important information about term dates, class
times, rehearsals and booking information if you do not do this.
Every
Student’s Payzone Account must be activated. Whether you set up your account or
we do, you will receive an email to activate the account. You MUST activate
your account to enable us to contact you. Again, this is a GDPR regulation and
we can not activate your account for you.
When
joining DADA in September, it is anticipated that you will commit for the
school year of 30 weeks. This is a commitment to class which enables you and
the school to get the most from the Academic Year. New students wishing to join
after the start of term where there is a place available, should register
details on Payzone via link on our website, and then contact admin:@dada.ie
before purchase of class.
Class
sizes are strictly limited. To guarantee your place you should book in as soon
as booking for each term is available, you will be notified of this by email or
by watching the school website.
Classes
usually become available towards the end of July for Autumn term (Sep - Jan)
and early January for Spring term (Jan - May). We recommend paying your fees
using your Payzone Account when booking. We can facilitate alternative payment
methods by contacting us. But please be aware that classes may sell out before
your payment is processed.
We
offer a 10% discount on 2nd and subsequent student fees, and also a 10%
multi-class discount per student. To avail of these discounts, all siblings
and classes must be processed on the one invoice i.e. booked at the same
time.
Refunds
for courses already started are at the discretion of the School Director
(Hilary Cahill, info@dada.ie). Once a place has been taken in class it is a
place which another student could have had. It is therefore important that
students and parents realise that taking a place in class is committing to be a
DADA student for the school year. We will of course attempt to move students
around to classes which may be more suitable for them if that is an issue.
We
feel that one class is not enough to get a real feel for the class or school
and ask that all new students sign up for their chosen classes and attend for 3
weeks. If a student does settle in by the end of week 3 you should contact our
School Director and request to cancel your place, we will refund you the
balance of fees paid.
Classes
are paid for by Term, and not by number of classes attended. If a student
misses class, which we always hope they will not, they will not be due any
refund for missed classes.
Term
Dates, Class Times, Fees and all other information regarding DADA and the
operation of the school is available on our website www.dada.ie. The website is
constantly updated and is a good resource. We advise parents and students to
have a look at it on a regular basis.
DADA
reserves the right to make changes to our timetable and term dates. We will
notify all relevant parties with appropriate notice. This once again
demonstrates the importance of being on our mailing and texting lists.
We
occasionally capture images and recordings during class and shows, some of
these may be used on DADA's website and social media. Please let us know in
writing to admin@dada.ie if you do
not consent to this. Due to the nature of our school and the performing arts
this is an element of what it means to be a student at our school.
DADA
must be made aware of any medical conditions, special needs or allergies a
child or young person may have. Please ensure that this is noted on their
registration before they attend class. And if you would like staff to be aware
of any additional information e.g.location/use of medication such as epi pens
or inhalers please email info@dada.ie.
DADA
does not operate full time office hours, we will respond to general enquiries
within a week. For anything that requires urgent attention please contact
Hilary Cahill directly.
